About Exhumed

Exhumed is a deathgrind/death metal band formed in 1990 in San Jose, California, centered around vocalist-guitarist Matt Harvey. They’re pioneers of “gore metal,” known for brutal riffs, blast beats and macabre lyrics. Popular tracks include “The Matter of Splatter” and “Cadaveric Splatter Platter.” Their latest album, Red Asphalt, is due February 20, 2026, preceded by the single “Unsafe At Any Speed.” They’ve released nine studio albums and are lauded in underground metal circles.
